Mid-stride, tail up, going somewhere — this cat is not waiting for you. The Walking Cat Figurine captures the one pose that defines cats better than any other: the purposeful walk that goes from one end of a room to the other for reasons that will never be explained. The figure is low to the ground, compact, dynamic. The tail curves up at the back with a slight black tip. The body carries the familiar gray tabby stripe pattern in hand-painted brushstrokes, each one giving the wood surface a texture and life that flat paint never achieves.
Unlike the long-neck cats or the meditation figures, this one is about movement. It sits differently on a shelf — it occupies space laterally rather than vertically, demands a longer surface, suggests trajectory. Place it at the edge of a table and it looks like it is about to leave the room. That quality — the sense that this object has somewhere to be — is the detail that makes it work as decor rather than just as a figurine.
Hand-carved from wood, hand-painted in gray tabby colouring. Part of the same Shaman wooden animal family as the long-neck cats and the meditation figures, but with a completely different energy: not stillness, not authority — motion.
Element: Wood · Earth
Energy: Movement · Curiosity · Independent Energy
Origin: Hand-carved and painted wood — handcrafted, curated in Kathmandu
Care: Dust with a soft dry cloth. Keep away from moisture. Place on a stable flat surface — the figure's lateral stance makes it less stable than upright figures if knocked.
