Three mother of pearl rings. Three circles, each one slightly different in size, threaded onto the bead strand itself so that the necklace does not carry the pendant — the necklace becomes the pendant. The cream seed bead rope splits at the base, weaves through each ring in sequence, and the rings hang interlocked in a vertical cascade, held together by nothing but the strand that passes through them. No clasp on the pendant. No connector. No separate fitting. The construction is the design.
Mother of pearl is the inner lining of mollusc shells — the same material that coats a pearl as it forms, the same iridescence that makes the inside of a shell glow when you hold it to the light. Cut into circles, polished flat, each ring carries that luminosity across its entire surface. In warm light it reads cream-white. In natural light it shifts — pink, gold, faint blue — depending on the angle. It does not stay the same. That is the nature of the material and the nature of Water energy.
The strand is a dense, tightly twisted rope of natural-coloured seed beads — the same warm cream as sand, as dried grass, as the underside of a leaf. The button closure sits at the back. The whole necklace feels like something you found rather than something you bought: organic, unhurried, built from materials the ocean produced and left on a beach somewhere for someone to notice.
Worn long, the three rings fall in sequence at the chest — visually clean, structurally interesting, immediately noticeable without being loud. This is a piece that rewards closeness. From a distance it reads as a simple pendant. Up close, the construction reveals itself: three rings, one strand, interlocked by the maker's hands.
Element: Water
Energy: Continuity · Flow · Luminous Calm
Origin: Mother of pearl shell — ocean-sourced, curated in Kathmandu
